Public engagement sessions coordinated with Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and local Business Improvement Areas will commence regarding the downtown entertainment district public realm and related matters.
Fall/Winter 2023
FirstOntario Centre to remain open to accommodate the CFL Grey Cup Festival in Hamilton with shows featuring Carrie Underwood and Green Day.
Early 2024
Renovation work is slated to commence at FirstOntario Centre while accommodating the Toronto Rock Lacrosse team of the NLL and other select shows.
Spring 2024
Once the Toronto Rock season concludes, a full FirstOntario Centre shutdown will occur to support renovation timelines.
Fall/Winter 2024
Hamilton Convention Centre renovations and FirstOntario Concert Hall investments are scheduled to begin.
Late 2025
Newly renovated Arena to open to the public, with convention centre and convention centre renovations slated to also be completed by the end of 2025.
