Creating inspiring places

A foundation for renewal

Hamilton's long-term transformation starts with the viability of its most prominent physical assets, its destinations. The Commons' key assets include FirstOntario Centre, FirstOntario Concert Hall, the Hamilton Convention Centre, and new mixed-use developments.

We believe that the time, effort and investment poured into these destinations can be enhanced considerably through an engaged partnership with the community.

In partnership with OVG and Live Nation, the Hamilton Arena will be the cornerstone of The Commons. With over $280 million of planned investment and upgrades, it will ensure incredible moments and memories are created within its walls for generations to come.

We can't build this without you

We believe that engaging with the community to realize this vision will create a more inclusive and transparent process and help to ensure its outcomes meet the needs of its residents, businesses and visitors.

We're calling on all Hamiltonians to share their vision of public space and culture in this city to ensure The Commons sparks passion and pride from all citizens as well as awe and admiration from outsiders.
