@oakviewgroup just unveiled a bold new culinary partnership for the @hamiltonarenaproject: @mattymatheson —renowned Canadian chef, cultural icon, and star of The Bear—will bring his signature energy to the venue through a new full-service restaurant, curated concessions, and premium hospitality experiences.

As part of The Commons, this collaboration redefines what a night out downtown can look like—where live music, world-class food, and community converge.

The Iron Cow Public House, Matty’s 9,500 sq. ft. restaurant, will be open on event and non-event days, with a speakeasy pub inside and menus inspired by Matty’s Pattys and Rizzo’s House of Parm. It’s not just a food destination—it’s a new cornerstone in Hamilton’s cultural and entertainment district.

Upgrades to West Harbour GO Station are now complete, saving Niagara commuters up to 15 minutes per round trip and unlocking 4x more train trips between Hamilton and Niagara Falls. Every train — including weekend and off-peak — will now stop at West Harbour GO.

With over 300 workers on-site daily, construction crews are hard at work transforming this space into something truly next level — and we mean transforming.

💬 “We’re calling it more of a transformation because over 80% of the building is being renovated,” says Ryan Zrenda, VP of Project Management at OVG. “In some ways, it will be unrecognizable.”
